Energy Imprints: What They Say About YOU!

We each have our own energetic imprint. This means many things of course, but it is one aspect that is often overlooked when working with energy. We each are truly unique and have our own ”soulprint”.

One way of viewing that is to realize that perhaps your energy is designed in such a way as to help you develop a particular quality or strength. A correlate to that is that your unique energy pattern equips you well for the proper environment for you to demonstrate your special gifts.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Some people have very strong, mentally focused energy fields and find it very easy to move from one state to another using their power of mind and choice. Others have a very emotionally attuned field and will find it near impossible to enlist their mind to shift a difficult mood, feelings or their place in a relationship. They require tools that allow for processing of their emotions and erasure from the field before they are able to move on.
Some folks have very set fields which make them less influenced by environments, weather, others’ moods, energetic,verbal or emotional assaults. This is good if you are in a life stage or situation where you need to be focused, goal oriented and not terribly concerned with an-other’s opinion or even feelings.
Others have what is called a peripatetic field which is great for empathy, healing, counseling, intuition and teaching. The down side of this type of field is that it can mean a great deal of vulnerability to overwhelm, other peoples moods, thoughts etc. until one learns to work with it.
Of course most of us are a mix and not pure types but we do have a certain propensity in how are energy is arranged according to our default pattern. It takes awareness, self observation, insight and honesty to really know what is up with this level of energy. We can learn about these types of patterns through exploring books like Barbara Brennan’s Hands of Light or Carolyn Myss’ work “Anatomy of the Spirit” .
Another way is to look at your energy in real time via biofeedback. A caution( in my opinion): a snapshot such as those available  at Health Fairs  is one moment in time and does not necessarily give you an accurate representation of what your energy is up to!
Knowing about energy on this level probably sounds complex —but it is learning that can be taken in small segments to help you grow on your way—and as with anything worthwhile, it’s worth the effort!
Being familiar with the quality of your field, in addition to the condition of your individual energy centers and what they represent helps you to be able to identify the best methods to make energy work for you!
Energy Unfolding
Monday, March 19th, 2012
English: A very simple image of some unaspecte...
Nature’s graceful process displays the art of “unfoldment”.
It instructs us in the art of pure being.
Nature has much to teach, but this is perhaps its best and deepest teaching.
A seedling, the beginning of form holds the promise of what is to come.
The life force of the seed does not fret about its process. It does not wonder how it looks. It is not concerned about what obstacles may be encountered in its journey forward. It does not seem to care or be impatient regarding how long it will take until it blossoms into final form.
In nature new life gracefully moves through its process, at times moving rapidly…at times moving so slowly it almost appears as though growth has ceased. At all times however it unabashedly takes what it needs from the sky, the earth, the wind and rain….and they in turn seem grateful to provide.
A seedling simply perseveres, growing along according to its own unique blueprint so it eventually becomes what it will be within its own design.
This process of new life unfolding embraces many stages. In none of these stages does the seed weigh or measure its progress or bemoan its fate. The seedling does not seem to worry that it is not deserving of the sunlight, that it is not good enough to drink the rain. All phases and transitions are simply part of the journey to the full expression of the seed’s true nature. The tiny life form takes what it needs, adapts to shifts in environmental changes and perseveres, growing according to its own blueprint…..  moving steadily onward toward what it will become…ITS SELF.
The seed travels onward through its life cycle toward ripeness when its mature fruit easily and freely drops to earth in a willingness to change yet again— the life cycle continuously renewing.
We can learn to live with the same grace, beauty, fullness and seamless dancing spirit.
Belonging and Energy
Wednesday, March 14th, 2012
Belonging is a fundamental concern for all of us. It is also an issue that often needs some compassionate care.
The root chakra is the first chakra that is active when we are born. This center develops mostly through non-verbal means. We sense the attitude of our caretakers – how they respond to our basic needs for food, shelter, touch, safety and belonging. How we are treated during this time has a tremendous influence on what gets registered in our body-mind regarding our capacity to experience safety and have a sense of belonging in the world, as well as on the physical vitality that supports our entire being.
Fear is the predominant feeling of an imbalance in the root chakra. Disruptions of energy in the root chakra typically show in fears regarding survival and security, problems with food and money, and difficulty with grounding and manifestation of material needs.
The issues here are often not easily accessible through conscious or verbal means. Methods that bring unconscious material into conscious awareness need to be coupled with strategies that help go to the root of the issue and help to erase the fear and inability to relax, and help create the necessary infrastructure  feel safe , are particularly effective when working with the energies of this chakra.
Ten Tips for Reducing the Stressful Effects of Self Abuse
Judgement
What if you had a friend who followed you all day and criticized, blamed, belittled and judged you for real, imagined and  future possibilities  of making a misstep in some area of your life? Would you continue to spend time with and listen to that friend? Probably not. However, the voice in your head that does the same as this fictional friend….what about it?
This friend for most of us took up residence in our subconscious without invitation or notice a long time ago. we have been aware of its presence but have never taken steps to give it its walking papers!
The negativity that this voice proliferates ad infinitum (it does not seem to run out of gas…or maybe it does and that is why it can be silent for awhile…it is refueling for the next round! We may think because the voice is only “in our heads” that it has no real effect, but it does. These inner events have a specific quality of energy that affects us as well as those around us. Not only that but they drag down our healthy vitality and make it harder to realize positive emotion, perception and outcomes.
These “negative vibes” pollute our inner and outer environment, create dissonance in our energy systems and make it difficult to move forward, succeed at our goals or experience happiness or pleasure.
Energy disruptions precede our negative thinking, moods and impeded our well-being. We can remedy this and keep our energy strong, coherent and flowing with some self-directed loving-kindness.
  1. Notice when you are judging yourself. Rather than become frustrated because you are doing it again, pause, take a deep breath and intentionally feel releasing the tension and inner conflict created by the judgments.
  2. Judgments don’t feel good. We don’t feel good whether those judgments are about ourselves or others. See if you can feel a difference between judgment and observation. Observation helps us to notice what needs to be let go of and what can be kept as learning.
  3. We are not in the world to fix or redirect others. We all have a soul path to walk. It can be helpful to develop discernment through observation in order to learn.
  4. Notice what happens around you. Notice the result of different actions and reactions. Notice what works and what doesn’t work. Notice what is effective and not effective. Notice what is beneficial to you and what is not. Practice noticing without judgment.
  5. Be conscious and choose to put your energy into what works best for you and those situations and experiences that bring you joy.
  6. Be gentle and practice persistent kindness with yourself.
  7. Treat yourself the way you wish others treated you.
  8. Go easy. Know that you are doing your best and you will do better when you are able.
  9. Being harsh or unforgiving wreaks havoc on your energy, mind and body. Practice self appreciation.
  10. As an antidote to judgment, fear and criticism practice feeling open, available, and present to life. Your energy will become stronger as a result then it will become easier to release any mental or emotional negativity.
Feeling Disorganized, Inefficient or Just Plain Clumsy? Try This!
Have you ever had one of those days when you just cannot seem to get it together, when you feel disorganized and ineffective? We all have. One of the things I have noticed is that this phenomenon seems to be worse on grey, cloudy or rainy days. Solar flares also have an effect on our energy that can be disconcerting. It can also be an effect of stress and being around too much electronic equipment —which is getting to be more and more of a problem for us in our techno frenetic world.
I was happy to find out that there was an energetic reason for this —our energy field actually becomes scrambled or disorganized and it is harder to think straight and/or coordinate our actions. Folks with ADD go through this all the time! Here is a simple and easy technique to help realign your energy and be able to bring more ease and efficiency to” one of those days.”
Exercise to Clear “Scrambled Energies
Perform these steps while standing, sitting or lying down.
1. Cross the left ankle over the right ankle.
2. Cross the right wrist over the left wrist
3. Inhale through nose with tongue on the roof of mouth near front teeth
4. Exhale through mouth with tongue resting gently behind your upper front teeth.
5. Breathe comfortably for about two minutes and be on your way!
Personal Power
Thursday, March 8th, 2012
English: Water Fountain. Water fountain in Nun...Personal power is a vast inner energy resource that can guide, strengthen and support you. It can help you expand into your essential nature or true Self. Your personal power, if attended to, can become a deep inner awareness that you can rely to help you choose options that serve you and those around you in the best possible way.
Our essential nature is a wellspring that nourishes us with its life force. When we connect with this life-giving flow of energy, it becomes a source of health, guidance and direction as well as a foundation of peace and joy. Without a relationship with our authentic self, life lacks passion and true vitality. All relationships require nourishment and tending. It is no different with our deepest self. We must cultivate our connection with it, get to know it and develop the means for it to flow and be expressed in our lives if we are to benefit from its gifts. The best part is that the journey to all this knowing and flowing is fun and enjoyable!
What Are You Feeding the Field?
Wednesday, March 7th, 2012
English: Managing emotions - Identifying feelings
Image via Wikipedia
Rollin McCraty from HeartMath Institute has a great question for himself at the end of the day, “What did I feed the field today”? He is referring of course to the idea that we have a significant impact on our world through the energy field— that it matters what we put out in terms of our focus—for us and for others. This is a great question to ask at anytime of the day to help keep us focused on where we are at and where we need to adjust…not out of harsh self criticism or judgement just simple awareness.
Some help for the journey…
The Impact of Thought and Emotion
Thoughts, emotions and feelings of all types are a major part of our human experience. They (along with free will and judgment) differentiate us from animals and other life forms.
As humans, we have a wide range of emotions. We are meant to feel. If we are to be healthy, fully express our authentic nature and bring the best of our selves to the world, then we must know how to let emotions move fluidly and easily through our systems and not repress them or get stuck in them!
Knowing how to work positively with all our emotions builds our energy and helps us move more rapidly and simply toward the lives we desire. We hold memory all throughout our body-mind … no experience escapes our notice. Our life experience is imprinted through our energy and nervous system into our biochemistry and into the cells and organs of our body.
Thoughts and feelings affect the energy throughout all our systems, but perhaps most important is how they connect deeply in the heart and help shape our experience of the world. Our thoughts and feelings are two primary ways we manage our energy, but they don’t necessarily always work in unison.
We are very capable of thinking one thing and feeling another. We can “know” something in our mind and experience it a totally different way in our heart and body.
Cellular memory is imprinted more through how we feel about something than through how we think about it or how we rationalize it. As a result, we have the feeling police deep inside: the body knows your truth! This is why it is so critical to clear the patterns and beliefs of the past – not because we are bad or have sinned and need to set our records straight, but because through our lack of knowledge and awareness, we have created obstacles that block our health, well- being and happiness.
Releasing judgment, embracing self compassion, letting go and acceptance
Practice going inside, grounding your energy ( for more info on this click here: http://www.livingenergyworks.com/articles.html )and developing an internal network for surrender, acceptance, letting go and releasing by practicing the feeling of those concepts. You can work this into a daily meditation rather than making it a whole new task to accomplish. Things in the internal world can be accomplished with ease — where there is no time and no space, there is magic!
Relaxation 101 is a great guided meditation that incorporates the foundation for all these taske. You can find the download or CD here:
