EFT for Healing and Creating

Friday, December 3rd, 2010

This video has a great explanation of how EFT works to erase old programs from our inner circuitry. Works with trauma but also with other memories and beliefs that get in the way of optimal health, and creating a life you love to live!

Neural Bundles from David MacKay on Vimeo.

Information and instructions for EFT as well as Emotional Freedom and Healing technique are included in our 12 Keys program. Karen (EFT) and Peg (EF & H) also both offer sessions in person and over the phone using these techniques.

Manage Stress by Cultivating Creative Power

Friday, August 13th, 2010

There are many ways to reduce and manage stress. I find it gets exhausting if I am always focused on trying to fight it, or conquor it.  A very powerful approach that has really helped me to have a healthier attitude and approach to stress is to side step the idea of combating it and rather learn ways to open to a fundamental flow of creative energy and develop it. This provides a deep well spring from which to engage and build on practices that are more life enhancing and revitalizing.

The I Ching, the oldest book of China, of the Book of Change gives us some guidance regarding this approach.  The I Ching is an observation of human behavior and the constantly changing structure of the universe.  It is about the way things are at the moment and the way that they tend to change and transform themselves.  A basic premise is that there are no isolated actions.  Every action has a reaction and every thing affects every other thingin a synchronistic manner.  The observation of patterns in nature can help us adopt an attitude of flow in order to move more gracefully, consciously and purposefully through change and challenging times.

Sixty-four different life situations (also called hexagrams) are highlighted in the I Ching.  The first of these is called The Creative.  It is about how worthwhile goals will meet with success.  When you use your inspiration, energy, will and personal strength — your Creative Power —  you can catapult yourself into new situations and use your opportunities to your best advantage.  The Creative is a time when personal growth is accelerated.  You focus and become aware of the situations around you. You learn when to act and when not to act.  It is a time when people may look to you for leadership.  You act for your highest good and you meet with success.

You can make room for the energy referred to as The Creativeto develop within you and learn to live more from this place rather than being in a combative relationship with life and its stress.

 How? More on this tomorrow!

The Oil Spill, Transformation, Prophecy and Consciousness

Tuesday, July 20th, 2010

Here is a link to an excellent piece by Daniel Pinchbeck on the oil spill, our transitional times, opportunities and challenges, as well as some great comments on our power and collective transformation.

It is long but very thought provoking, eye opening, scary and hopeful if you read all the way to the last two paragraphs! Lots of food for thought in the comment section as well. What do YOU think?

Conscious Creation

Belief, Concentration, Focus and Desire

Belief, concentration, focus and desire are the basics. Wrap them in any package you want. You get to choose based on what feels right to you. A philosophy or belief system has to be able to be of service to you – all of you: body, mind and spirit.

Two questions to keep foremost in your mind re: a belief:

  1. Does it work for you?
  2. Does it feel like Truth in the deepest place in your heart?

Our opinion is that we are here to become conscious creators and need to learn the laws of the universe and how to use them in a heart centered way for the benefit of all. There are individual paths that we each take in that journey. We are always learning so we can improve our power and skill. Negative experiences are best viewed as contrast and feedback regarding what we need to master next!

There are universal laws that define how things work – not laws that we must obey but principles that we need to embrace, embody and put into action. We have been speaking about these principles throughout this 12 Keys series.

We each have strengths, areas where we do not need much development, and weaknesses, where we are not as adept. When we think about the concept of purpose, it is easy to fall into inner struggle and try very hard to figure out where we should be and what we should be doing. Instead, understanding our personal purpose requires that we be still, go within and sense the feeling of things so we can know our truth and the best way to express ourselves in the world.

Personal purpose is not so much about assuming a specific role or being in a particular place. It is more about a state of being … about developing soul qualities to bring to the world through following a path that best suits you.

Being open to releasing the obstacles that block your ability to express your own clear strong soul tone – your true Self – is a major step forward. Use the tools we have presented in this series to do just that! Skipping over this step will only impede progress toward the creation of the life you want to live. We must practice the techniques in order to embody our best selves/authentic selves/essential nature, not just absorb theory.

POWER VS. FORCE: Developing Personal Power

Wednesday, March 17th, 2010

A key concept in learning to live from the inside out using energy and consciousness is understanding the difference between personal power and force. Personal power means different things to different people and even different things to the same person, depending on many factors, including: life stage, level of consciousness, personal experience and predominate belief system.

When you hear the words “personal power, “what comes to your mind? When we have asked that question in our classes we hear responses like:

  1.  Presence
  2.  Balance
  3.  Choice
  4.  Being present
  5.  Knowing
  6.  Happiness
  7.  Inner Peace

These answers bring up another question for exploration: does personal power come from having these feelings or are these feelings an outgrowth of embodying the essence of personal power in your core?

Growth, Change and Creativity Part II

Friday, March 12th, 2010

Once you answer the previous post’s questions re: creativity, you may want to take a deeper look at how you can approach life with more creative awareness. Reflect upon these more specific questions to gain a deeper insight into your patterns.

What is necessary to bring a creative style to your life and to cultivate it?

Do you have a space of your own where you nurture your creative nature and drive? How can you create one?

Do you have the physical energy to fuel and birth your creative output? If not, what needs to happen to build that energy?

Do you have the emotional energy – the passion – to fuel and develop your creativity? What needs to happen so this can develop?

Do you take the time to nurture your soul, the place where creativity originates? How can you decide to change this and make time to breathe soul into your life?

Four Steps to Enhance Your Co-Creative Ability

Life Cycles: Growth and Change

We are all aware that there is a cycle of growth and change, but we typically do not pay a lot of attention to where we may be within the cycle. The result is that we are not in sync; we are out of rhythm with ourselves, our lives and with the natural timing of all the cycles of which we are a part.

If we pay attention to this natural process and where we are within it, we can become more efficient, patient, and remain healthier as we cut down on frustration and pushing rocks up hills.

Becoming Aware of the Creative Cycle

1.  When you are thinking about creating something new in your life, do you treat it as a creative process and consciously use stage-appropriate methods and tools?

 2. How would your response to change and transitioning from one phase of life to another be different if you honored these cycles within your life?

3.  How would your approach to consciously creating your life change if you incorporated awareness about the stage you were in?

4.  Do you nurture creativity in general in your life?

In the next post we will explore some questions that can take you deeper into looking at how you can approach life with more creative awareness. These more specific questions can help you to gain a deeper insight into your patterns.
