EFT is a great tool for releasing old conditioned patterns, beliefs and feelings from our psyches. This video provides a succinct  explanation regarding the whole process of conditioning that helps with understanding what is required  for release work in general.

Quantum Physics, Spirituality and Baseball

A couple years ago I saw one of the Red Sox wearing a Q-link pendant (helps create coherence in the energy field) and wondered if or how much any of the players were into the power of belief, energy and intention. It slipped my mind until now when I came across this website!!  If you live in Boston, if you’ve been to Fenway, if you follow the Sox, you are aware of the amazing undercurrent that is referred to in this video clip. That palpable energy is not news to locals–what IS news is that it is being studied, understood and documented. Clearly energy theory and practice have entered the mainstream! Enjoy!

Do you believe your thoughts can impact a baseball team and
bring about a World Series championship?
You better BELIEVE it!

Six Benefits of Personal Energy Management

Wednesday, May 18th, 2011
Trees reaching out for light Trees need light ...

Trees reaching out for light Trees need light for energy - and as such they will reach out for it - be it upwards, sideways, or downwards. Photosynthesis is arguably the most important biochemical pathway known. It is an extremely complex process, comprised of many coordinated biochemical reactions and nearly all of life depends upon it. That is why we cut trees down. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Do you use energy techniques to help you in any area of your life? If so, what are the effects or benefits  that you notice? Would love to hear your experiences!

Here are some of the benefits that I have noticed as a result of having an energetic perspective on the world and manging my personal energy:

1. Accelerated change: Working energetically goes to the roots of problems, roots them out at the source as well as providing positive, more effective and rapid solutions, truly a way to change from the inside out.

2. Diminished resistance: Energy work can aid in eliminating the struggle that often blocks our attempts at change, in effect impeding the flow of change. Using energy can generate an inner sense of ease and a feeling of grace that replace those of force & will power.

3. Discipline of the mind: Proper focus of the mind helps to build energy to bring to our desires and improves our ability to direct that energy more precisely toward our goals.

4. Enhanced Clarity: Eliminating emotional turmoil, negative mind sets and exhausting thought patterns via energetic techniques results in a centering effect that provides clearer perception of oneself, others and Truth itself.

5. Improved Intuition, creativity and spiritual experience: As the overall energy system is strengthened and less burdened with old memories, beliefs and maladaptive patterns the entire system can function better and more energy is available to expand higher level function.

6. Clearing energy blocks from our systems opens us up and allows us to build in a positive direction. We create more of what we do want in life rather than getting caught in repetitive cycles filled with what we don’t want. Relaxation of the mind and body helps us to let go of restrictions to increased flow, assists in quieting the ego and opens us to recognition of subtler energies.

My experience has been that being aware of, developing and using my subtle energy systems enables me to cross the bridge between spirit and matter, to integrate the two and live in both worlds. It seems that one of our current challenges as we evolve as a species  is to bring the full force of all our energy into the present moment for creation….to fully embody spiritual energy in human form and integrate the two so we can live as everyday mystics’… spiritually oriented, inspired,  grounded, effective and successful in the world of matter.

Acceptance and Stress Part 2

It is easier to develop the quality of acceptance when the stakes are not too high. Begin with small things and those close to home. Begin with yourself. Notice the occurrences in your day that seem to invite you to become willful, argumentative, or insistent on your way or the highway!  Notice areas of your life or situations where you may feel (or assign) blame, shame, fear or even embarrassment.  For instance, how do you really feel about your body?  Do you accept it as is or are you always hoping or wishing for a different weight or a different shape?  How about relationships?  What challenging or difficult relationships do you engage in regularly?  Is there someone in your family or perhaps at work that always seems to “push your buttons?”  Are you comfortable with your Self?  Do you genuinely love and truly accept yourself just as you are or do you try to be someone you’re not?  How about your financial situation?  Do you accept it as is and move forward from there or do you blame others for where you are?  After you take a true look at yourself, broaden the circle and look within your family.  Widen it again and look around your neighborhood and so on.

Notice how you feel about each situation.  Notice if you collapse into feelings of overwhelm or even anger, feeling as if the deck is stacked against you, or as if things will never change. Any situation that doesn’t feel good is an opportunity to try a new approach, to elicit feelings of acceptance and let things be for a time. Think of it as an experiment. Try it purposefully on everyday situations and gradually you will get the kind of feedback that encourages you to keep on building and go on to higher and higher skill levels.

If you find it difficult to develop acceptance about personal issues, begin with something as common as the weather.  Suppose you had your heart set on a gorgeous warm and sunny summer day to spend outside either by yourself or with friends and family.  You wake up and it’s pouring rain or cold and gray.  You plans need to be set aside or adjusted.  How do you usually react to such situations?  Do you go along with it, accept it and adjust to it?  Or do you let it consume your energy, leaving you frustrated, tired and depleted? Perhaps you’ve already established options and you know how you’re going to spend your time regardless of the weather.  You know that if the weather is sunny you’ll go with Plan A.  If the weather is less than favorable, you’ll move forward with Plan B.  No matter how the day turns out, you’re ready for it; you accept it as is and adjust accordingly.  You are able to let go and simply make the best of what comes up.

Look for “energy leakages” in your daily life.  These are situations that aren’t balanced or situations that don’t feel good. They are situations where you expend more than you take in.  They are perfect opportunities to practice building new skills and to develop emotional intelligence.  When you practice acceptance, you broaden your perspective and allow different points or view.  You don’t need to be right and have someone else be wrong.  You accept situations as they are and you work towards mutually agreeable terms or conclusions.  You open yourself to personal growth and development.  You get to the heart of a problem without blame and you determine the proper course of action. You are able to do this objectively without making others feel bad or feel rejected.

Acceptance is about inclusion rather than exclusion.  When you are inclusive, you are flexible and you are open to different ideas, situations and people.  You set judgment aside and you work with “what is” … whatever it is. As a result, you open yourself to more opportunity and awareness. You open yourself to the bounty of life

Listen carefully and pay deep attention to your inner self. You will notice your areas of resistance and where you cause yourself physical, emotional and/or spiritual pain. As you notice, you can choose the path of acceptance.  Doing so leads to real freedom!

It is important to remember that we cannot strong arm ourselves into a new mind set with our thoughts alone. Tools such as breath work, EFT, and other energy techniques can help bring relief from old patterns at the level of the body-mind where our beliefs live and “drive our bus” without our conscious permission.

The exercises in our recorded programs are particularly well suited to helping you reworks your system so you can be free to move into acceptance and the ease that it brings.

Worldview and Self Perception

Friday, October 8th, 2010

We often don’t think about  how our inner story (many times unconscious) is reflected in our viewpoints, interactions or creations in life but they are terribly important and relevant. It is also important to have effective tools with which to change those stories so that they stop obstructing our life experience in damaging ways. This requires “inner technologies” such as the methods presented in the Living Energy programs (shameless plug :) ).

Here is a nice article on the topic…follow the link to the entire piece and feel free to let us know what you think in the comment section!

“Our stories about ourselves – who we are and what we are capable of becoming – are influenced primarily by our worldview, which shapes our lived reality. The Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) defines worldview as “the beliefs, attitudes, perceptions, and assumptions through which one filters their understanding of the world and their place in it.” Whatever the story is – created, told, and retold in a habitual, self-perpetuating cycle – it influences our choices and behavior. This is true individually as well as collectively. To evaluate the wisdom of a worldview and to better recognize its influence, it helps to identify some of the assumptions embedded within it.” Lisa Reagan

Got Courage? Part II

Sunday, October 3rd, 2010

Unusual or astounding situations aside, it seems that life can and often does require a great deal from us. One of the greatest myths seems to be that we should have all we need to cope immediately, right now, or there is something wrong with us! It seems more accurate to take the view that we have raw potential within and it is often life circumstances that bring it to the forefront requiring that it be developed and refined.

The concept of neural nets, conditioning deeply interwoven into our inner structures, clearly supports the notion of having to meet our demons, slay our dragons, E.G. undo our past non productive behaviors first before we can insert new more effective thoughts, feelings and beliefs that will lead to new behavior and external realities. So, myths and fairy tales were onto something that only now neuroscience has been able to identify as a very real internal human process with physiological underpinnings.

At times simply being willing to entertain a new view can be very difficult. Taking a good look in the mirror, being honest with your feelings, being able to express yourself, standing for what you believe, speaking for yourself, living your dreams, working for your dreams, or maybe just letting yourself have a dream (!), taking risks, moving forward in spite of fear….it seems that all of the above require that  thing called courage!

How many people live lives of quiet desperation as they rationalize, deny and subdue their natural instincts, drives, and desires because they are afraid of  upsetting the status quo, of offending, of being alone, or of treading into unfamiliar territory? We not only know people who fit these molds… we’ve all done it as well.

It may seem less painful to stay the course rather than belly up to the bar of new alternatives. However if you have a truly honest conversation with those who chose the quiet, the ‘tried and true,’ they will tell you of the pain, loss and disappointment that their choice cost them…if they don’t… their bodies, minds, and relationships will spell it out for you.

Got Courage?

Friday, October 1st, 2010

What images come to mind when you think of courage? Do you find images of real or fictional heroes and heroines tumbling into your mind?

Can you remember times in your own life when you’ve found an inner strength or drive that perhaps you never knew you had?

Jungian Psychology, Mythology, classic fairy tales and myths from many cultures all suggest that we are each on a hero/ine’s journey in our own lives. These sources all speak of the human drama, central human dilemmas and of long journeys in search of truth, ‘treasure’, and freedom. They also speak quite clearly of the challenges along the way.  Our lives may seem less adventuresome in contrast with these stories or with real life legends. On closer inspection though, aren’t our lives filled with drama, intense emotion, seemingly impossible tests and spine tingling cliff hangers as we hang out in the ‘not knowing zone’?  It does seem that we could consider the notion that just living life requires enormous courage!

It takes courage to face ourselves, let ourselves be wrong, inspect our beliefs and to change. But by having the courage to do so, we free ourselves to live with less stress–from a place of deep inner freedom. This helps us to build an inner resiliency and connection with our authentic selves that nourishes and enlivens us from a deep internal core. That result is something that will never leave, fade with age or disappear when the markets crash!

Peace of Mind

Thursday, September 30th, 2010

If being right is your goal,
you will find error in the world,
and seek to correct it.
But do not expect peace of mind.

If peace of mind is your goal,
look for the errors in your beliefs and expectations.
Seek to change them, not the world.
And be always prepared to be wrong.
