Change, Vibration and Letting Go

Monday, May 31st, 2010
I found this blog post by Karen Murphy that speaks to some of the challenges many are feeling with the pace and change of life. There is also a nice exercise to help develop capacity to let go of whatever is causing you discomfort.

“Vibration

The Earth’s vibration rate is changing and is increasing overall. This also can lead to feelings of disorientation, of spinning out of control in one’s life, especially if control is an issue for you to begin with. It is a common issue and so it is likely that many people are affected by this sense that the world is moving faster than they are prepared for.

The simplest thing to do, from our perspective, is to let go and release any expectations about what comes next or even of having a feeling of “being okay.” But that is from our perspective and doesn’t necessarily speak to the challenges of life in a physical body, where safety is not always a given.

What do we mean when we say, “let go and release”? There are connotations with those words that can lead one to conclude that letting go is a painful and arduous process. Letting go and releasing simply means detaching from expectation. Allowing for ALL possibilities, even when you can only see one or two.

Letting go exercise

Here is a simple exercise designed to assist you with feeling more comfortable in letting go.

Close your eyes. You can do this in any position, even seated at a desk. Focus your attention on the tip of your nose. For the next moment or two, the tip of your nose is the only thing that exists. There is nothing else. If any other thoughts come in, set them aside for the moment and refocus again on your nose. Just the tip of your nose. There is nothing else in the universe, just the tip of your nose. There is an entire world populated on the tip of your nose. You can imagine this. An entire world, resting there on the tip of your nose. Ives are lived, loves are loved, wars are fought, babies are born, just there on the tip of your nose. Nothing else exists but this space.

Breathe that in for a moment. Just the tip of your nose. Nothing else exists.

Now, slowly, bring your awareness to a larger area. The whole of your nose. Your mouth. Your eyes. Your face. There is still a world balanced on the tip of your nose but now that universe expands. Expand it now once again, this time on a macro level. Planets, Stars. Galaxies. And still, the tip of your nose. See how they coexist? The micro and the macro.

All possibilities exist in this moment.

Vibrational changes also occur on a very physical level. Not only is time speeding up a bit, but there is also a sense of urgency for many people about getting themselves in a better space personally. You will notice an emphasis on personal growth, even more than before. An additional emphasis is placed, for many people, on consciously being aware of AND DOING their unique life purpose.

Being a part of these changes doesn’t have to mean making any overt change within yourself or doing any particular action, but for many these types of changes become paramount. You may find yourself wishing to completely change your lifestyle now and the company that you keep. People who were friends or were in close relationship in the past may seem less satisfying to you now. This has a lot to do with vibration – not everyone processes vibrational changes at the same rate. Not everyone even responds to overall vibrational change in the same way. If you find yourself moving away from people, there is likely good reason to do so. It is not that they are detrimental to you, simply that they are not serving the same purpose for you. Look for new groups that support the things you feel are important.”

Shamanic Astrology and Soul Purpose Interview

Tuesday, May 25th, 2010

We had a great conversation today with Carol Ciocco re: Shamanic Astrology and what it can tell us about our soul purpose.

In addition, Carol also spoke about the changes we are living through at this time in history, and provided some very enlightening thoughts about the energies and how we can understand and respond to them in a constructive way.

Here is the call for you to listen to or to download.  We welcome your comments. We are anticipating having Carol back for a show where she would answer callers’ questions—let us know if this would interest you!

Your Soul’s Purpose

Sunday, May 23rd, 2010

Do you wonder about your soul’s journey? Do you ever wish you had more information about your life purpose? Do you ever ask the question, “What AM I doing here?”

Join us on Monday’s radio show when we interview Carol Ciocco and hear about her work with Shamanic Astrology and how it helps to answer these questions. If you cannot join us live, the show will be available for download immediately following its conclusion.

Shamanic Astrology is a non-traditional, cutting-edge, evolutionary astrological system that directly focuses on the journey of your soul. In a Shamanic Astrology Reading we look to the birth chart to see where we came from (our karmic past “rut” that must be avoided) and where our Soul intends us to go (our Leading Edge of Evolution). When we move into the leading edge of our evolutionary path, we feel alive, passionate and filled with joy. Joy leads to service and we move forward on the Soul’s ultimate purpose: to take on greater and greater Light, to gain en-light-enment.

Are you a crazy one?

Moving Past Fear–Part 3

Sunday, May 23rd, 2010

It takes energy to move beyond fear.  We must go to a level other than the cognitive to alleviate fear and anxiety.  A preventative approach is very helpful. By reconditioning our nervous systems through daily meditation or deep relaxation training we develop stronger systems that do not knee jerk into a fear response as easily. This also makes us more keenly aware of when a feeling is beginning and we can release it earlier rather than later when it has had time to build into something too difficult to manage.

Introspection that helps identify old unprocessed material that may be causing your system to be overly sensitive is also useful. In addition, if there are long standing issues in regard to chronic anxiety and fear then a nutritional status check is warranted. Our systems need certain nutrients to function properly. The ability to maintain proper inner balance is made more difficult if the proper nutrients are not available.

Learning skills that work to ‘erase’ the effects of old input and unconscious automatic reactions are also useful. These methods can work ‘on the spot’ to reduce fear and anxiety as well as erasing lifelong patterns. The Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is one such approach.  Emotional Freedom and Healing is another.

Meditation techniques that help you learn how to remain present and open to difficult feelings with no resistance, simply observing them without your normal responses can be very powerful ways of releasing embedded patterns of fear.

Breathwork is another technique that functions well as an on the spot remedy as well as a preventative one. Most people who experience a great deal of fear or anxiety have breathing patterns that are a contributing factor.  Sit quiet for a moment and listen to your pattern.  After you get a sense for it, breathe consciously.  Breathe slowly and deeply.  Pull your breath as deep into your abdomen as you can.  Hold it for a few seconds and then slowly let it go.  Repeating this process for five or ten minutes at a time is an excellent way to bring yourself into the present moment.

Ultimately, developing higher consciousness, an ability to live from a higher level of awareness or the authentic self, is perhaps the best solution to alleviating fear and anxiety. However, it is important to remember that this is a process and not an event. It requires a deep fundamental shift within, a commitment and participation in order to be cultivated and become a way of BEING.

Shift to being present at all times.  You will then live in the space where fear does not exist.

Both our recorded programs, 12 Keys for Life and Self Mastery and Feng Shui and Chakras: Inner and Outer Balance, include helpful information about releasing fear, as well as guided exercises to help you learn methods to permanently release fear’s grasp.

The Energy of Fear–Part 2

Thursday, May 20th, 2010

Although fear may seem to have many causes, it is said that the primary underlying cause is fear of death.  Fear of death is a fear of bringing something to an end. That “something” comes in many disguises.  Some of the disguises you may be familiar with are fear of being wrong, fear of not being good enough, fear of not measuring up to someone else’s expectations, fear of failure, fear of being hurt, fear of the unknown.  Fear of change can be due to the sadness of saying goodbye and leaving someone or something behind, as well as fear of the unknown future looming ahead after the loss.

There are certainly situations in life that justify a fear response. In those cases it is a good thing that our adrenaline pumps and we are given the energy to fight or flee. In those cases we are prepared to do what is needed to get out of harm’s way and return to safety. Once safety returns our natural balancing mechanism brings us back to a neutral state.

The problem comes when this same fear response is activated by things that are not life threatening. In our present culture it is not unusual for this natural self-protective mechanism to be overly sensitized and active. This can result in a sense of chronic anxiety and tension or a hair trigger response to the smallest stimuli. All that fascinating fight/ flight/freeze physiology has been activated and has nowhere to go as it is not used up in the effort to regain safety.  As a result our fear deepens and limits our daily lives.

When this occurs there tends to be an emotional paralysis or overload that happens which is accompanied by an inability to think clearly and make good decisions and choices. When our systems are thus set in motion we can feel as if we are under a threat to our lives; it all feels that important as our neurology and biochemistry rocks and rolls within causing us to feel out of control. We have all had that feeling that our minds know that our reactions are over the top but that knowing seems useless to calm our emotions.

It takes energy to move beyond fear.  We must go to a level other than the cognitive to alleviate fear and anxiety.

Tomorrow—moving beyond fear.

An Energy Called Fear

F.E.A.R.

 False Evidence Appearing Real

 FEAR! False? Not real?

 How can we say that?

Everyone knows we all feel fear and it’s real!

What this acronym hints at is that there is a lot of fear that is unnecessary….perhaps most!

According to Eckhart Tolle, author of The Power of Now, fear is always a projection of something that might happen, not something that is happening now.  When we let our mind wander into the future, we create an anxiety gap between what is real and what we are projecting to be real.  The future is not real.  Only the present is real.

Fear is a psychological condition that is separate and separates us from who we really are.  It comes in many forms such as nervousness, unease, worry, dread, anxiety and more.  If we allow it, fear can grip us so tight that we lose touch with our inner and true self.  Fear separates us from our true power and our inner source.

Fear manifests in our minds through our ego self.  When we identify with our lower mind, the ego runs our life.  When we let fear take over, we yield our personal power to others.  When we identify with our heart, we can become the creator of our lives.  There is no place for fear in the heart.  When it comes down to it, fear is not real.

Although fear may seem to have many causes…stay tuned, more to follow on Thurs. re: the causes as well as the antidotes for fear.

Effective Energy Managment

Friday, May 14th, 2010

“…until we consciously learn to override the pervasive low frequencies in which we exist, we will keep recycling unpleasant outcomes into our lives day after tiresome day.

Just like swimming in salt water, if we don’t wash off the residue, sooner or later it’s going to make us mighty uncomfortable.”

Lynn Grabhorn, Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting.

This quote speaks to the quality of our energy and how it impacts us in our daily lives, but I think the concept of “consciously overriding” can lead us astray as to what is truly needed.  Many try to use thought control to shift their energy or circumstances when in fact a deeper emotional shift is what is necessary. Conscious awareenss at the level of thought is a first step. Then we must choose to do what is needed at an emotional/energetic level to truly get a shift of energy within ourselves and then in our lives. Effective change of frequencies is actually accomplished from another level of consciousness than a mere cognitive one.

12 Keys for Life and Self Mastery and Chakras and Feng Shui: Inner and Outer Balance are programs that provide you with a framework and structure to do just that! Energy Works and  you can become more effective using energetic approaches to improve any facet of your life!
