A one minute video from IONS that reminds us all of where Truth lies…

Perspective is the key to gaining a larger understanding of ourselves, of the world around us, and of the Truth, a theme explored in our winning YouTube contest video. There comes a day for each of us when we suddenly begin to see a bigger picture, which then grows with every passing day and new experience. unASLEEP shows how this new seeing reveals that we are both the Web and the Weaver, leading to a deeper sense of compassion.

Please share it widely with friends!

Love Breath

Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

There is a way of breathing
that’s a shame and suffocation.
And there’s another way of expiring,
a love-breath that lets you open infinitely.
– Rumi

How are you breathing, thinking, feeling today that is shaping your world?

Present moment awareness within a “love-breath” can help you move through your day with more peace, stillness and joy than you may create otherwise.

The Time is now!

It does seem that there could not be a better time or better reasons to explore inner healing and moving into higher states of awareness than the current world situation. We have had many prophecies concerning this time frame in history. If we go beyond the hype and hysteria to the deeper wisdom available to us in some of these messages then the way through this time is clear.  The way that is being pointed to is one where we begin to take seriously the notion that the world is a mirror of our inner state and that we are all part of the cosmic whole and affect each other. This is a powerful beginning thought but it is not the end of the message. We are also counseled that it is through developing the skills greater awareness and moving into higher levels of consciousness and creativity that our problems, personal and global, will be solved.   Humanity has been through many difficult and challenging periods throughout history. This is ours. It is hard. It is difficult. It is frightening in the extreme perhaps. But one thing that keeps coming to mind is that fact that we are still here after many challenges that were extreme for those who came before us.  There are perhaps some elements of the past that can be looked at for information regarding change and methods to restore balance. However there are many unique issues and circumstances facing us in these current times. So change may have to take on a new face. We may need skills and abilities that were not necessary or even present in the past. The good news is that they are available to us in the realm of higher consciousness and creativity. Once again we have a model from nature also to guide us. When something is not present in nature that is needed, organisms adapt and transform in order to acclimate to their new environment. And so it is with us. The question seems not whether we will or not, the question may be more one of how much struggle and conflict will we go through before we shift toward what is necessary. Politicians and government may not be the greatest change agents in these times. It may be “We the people”. If that phrase sounds familiar, maybe it’s because there was an original intent for this country set up by men of a transcendental persuasion. Another man who had a message we can all use now was Gandhi, “Be the change you wish to see in the world”.    Perhaps it is time to take that sentence seriously and to each do our part in our corner of the planet to bring about healthy, positive change.  Gratitude is a major theme as this month carries us into Thanksgiving. Gratitude for what? For being alive. For living at all! Gratitude for the Earth, the ocean and mountains. Gratitude for all that nature shows us each and every day about life and living. Gratitude that we can begin to listen with new ears and see with new eyes. Gratitude that we indeed can become the change we wish to see in the world.
